ILP #2

For this Independent Learning Project, I chose to focus on the design aspect of the assignment. I chose to create a Prezi based upon geography. I found that Prezi offered a lot of different design layouts that were already created for the user via template. Although this is a nice, time-saving feature, it did take away from the users ability to use their own creativity when creating their project. In comparison to creating a presentation on PowerPoint, I felt as if PowerPoint requires a lot more tedious work, patience and creativity to get the project just right. When using Prezi the user is risking their project looking exactly like someone else's. Where as PowerPoint offers the advantage of completely original work because the user has the ability to start from scratch. Overall I was pleased with my experience with Prezi. The website is easy to use and offers a lot of template options that there is sure to be one perfect for the user's specific occasion.
