In my future class I think I will use surveys often, as they serve as an amazing method to to receive feedback from students and even their parents. I can retrieve information on which methods of teaching my students like the most and even seek opinions on something we will do in the future based off of questions I might ask them. The more I know about my students and they way they learn and enjoy learning the more likely I will be able to understand their brains and have those breakthroughs in the classroom setting. I also think Excel sheets are an amazing tool for teachers whether its for sign up sheets (for older grade levels of course) and for keeping track of grades online. This is applicable for all grade levels given that all aged children receive grades.
When looking at fellow classmates blogs, I found many things interesting. Off first glance, I was amazed by how different everyones blogs looked from mine and from each others. Each person really showed their creativity when designing their blogs, creating them to be unlike any other. I also really enjoyed seeing the grade level and subjects which people are hoping to teach in the future.
One skill that I have no prior experience with is Excel. I am thankful that we are currently covering this topic because although it is a skill many people learn in prior education, I have never had the opportunity to take a computer class before taking this one. I know Excel is a skill I will use for the rest of my life so I am excited to master it this week. However, I would be lying if I said I was not a tad nervous given that I just have no experience with the programming prior to this. Although I do look forward to the challenge!
